PROBLEMS PROVE WORTH!

Last Sunday PM our service was well attended and I taught about what EMO really is, and how Satan can use heavy metal music, unchecked texting, unsupervised internetting and evil associations as an open door to influence and corrupt our teens.  We then organized a 24-hour prayer vigil to pray for a teen who is addicted to EMO, and then took a load of members to encourage his mom.  Yesterday I was able to cut all the grass, teach around 50 interested HS students the foundation of the gospel, and grade more assignment papers from our seminary students.  Today I will complete my seminary lessons for two Systematic Theology courses that I will teach tonight, do some grass trimming, finish grading around ten more student reports, and try to fix electronic problems with our portable, compact, practical but exhausting audio-pulpit invention!  And tomorow I must have a men's meeting to confront a problem member who is actually offending others and hurting our evangelistic goals.

Why must I solve EMO, electrical and people problems?  Because God TRUSTED me with them which is a great compliment! He trusted me with people who He loves, and with difficult decisions that will mold my character and increase my maturity.  Of all the people he could have chosen, He chose me!

"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you." (Jn.15:16) "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jer.1:5)

EMO-DEMONS

While I could write many things, a troubled youth in our church is pressing on my mind.  His Mom showed up late Sunday morning confiding in me that he slashed his wrist, lost his temper and ran out of the house bleeding.  "EMOs" cult members wear black clothing and eye-liner, body-piercings, listen to heavy metal rock, write morbid poetry, and often slash their wrists and become obsessed with death.  Time does not permit but do your own search by typing EMO CULT or EMO SUICIDE and see for yourself.  Slashing yourself to draw blood and living among the dead are actualy forms of demonic activity, particularly of the Legion demons (1 Kings 18:28, Mk.5:5, Lk.8:27).  Our church re-assembled to pray, and we'd appreciate your prayers if you are a true born again believer.  I'll keep you updated on his deliverance.

PULPIT PROBLEMS!

Well, yesterday went well.  I graded all the papers for my National Church Planting Course, discovered I was asked to lecture around 100 Girl Scouts instead of the high schoolers like I thought, and our Wednesday night Prayer Meeting was well attendended.   I also was able to make a hospital visit, visit a neighbor whose husband had died, help a Manila College student with some of our seminary curriculum, do some research on "EMO" - a cult one of our youth is struggling with, confirm a church for our furlough, and update some of my websites.  We also were constructing a pulpit for our mission point in Iba that is really nice with a built-in sound system and mic.  When our seminary students took a peek at it, they were amaised!    But when we attach the mic to the gooseneck holder that is mounted on the pulpit's desk, it makes a feedback noise that I think is due to a grounding problem.  Insullating it did not work and we are baffled.  Youth Pastor Alex and Bro Manny say it is caused by some internal vibrations.  Man, I'd like to get it solved.  I mean, that's the whole purpose of including the built in sound system with a control panel facing the speaker, with speakers inside the pulput flushed outwards, and with a built in mic stand.  It would be perfect for church planting because it's all there, compact, beautiful and so practical!  Well, we'll keep you posted and I'll include a photo of it later.   Oh, I'm still new at this and can't find the spell checker. So forgive me for mispellings.  Missionary Mike
